Fileverses

Free online video compressor

Compress multiple videos to one target.

Queue videos, choose one shared target size, then preview and download every new MP4.

Supported files

Six video inputs. One MP4 download.

MP4MOVM4VWEBMAVIMKVMP4

Add MP4, MOV, M4V, WEBM, AVI, MKV videos up to 100 MB each. Fileverses creates a new H.264/AAC MP4 toward your chosen target size; final size is approximate, so review the completed file.

How it works

One queue. A smaller MP4.

01

Add supported videos

Queue MP4, MOV, M4V, WebM, AVI, or MKV files up to 100 MB each. A source player stays in every row so you can identify the file before processing.

02

Choose a size goal

Set one target in KB or MB. The compressor calculates an output bitrate for each queued video independently.

03

Compress and inspect

Each successful job creates a new H.264/AAC MP4 with its own preview and download control.

Limits and quality

A size target guides the encode, not a guaranteed result.

Each job is newly encoded for its own source duration and complexity. The selected target guides bitrate calculation, but container overhead, audio, and encoder decisions can change the final size and visible detail.

Supported inputs

MP4, MOV, M4V, WebM, AVI, and MKV. Each upload is limited to 100 MB and must be playable by FFmpeg.

02

Approximate target size

Choose 64 KB to 200 MB. Video complexity, audio, container overhead, and encoder decisions mean the final MP4 can be larger or smaller than the selected target.

03

New encoded output

The completed file is MP4 with H.264 video and AAC audio. Lower targets can visibly reduce detail; this tool does not provide trimming or a resolution setting.

Video compression FAQ

Questions, answered.

Which video files can I compress?+

Add MP4, MOV, M4V, WebM, AVI, or MKV files up to 100 MB each. The file must be playable by the FFmpeg installation used by this tool.

Will the final file be exactly the target size?+

No. The selected size guides bitrate calculation. Video complexity, audio, container overhead, and encoder decisions can make the completed MP4 larger or smaller than the target.

What format will I download?+

Each successful job downloads an MP4 containing H.264 video and AAC audio. The tool does not preserve the original container or codec.

Does compression change video quality?+

It can. A lower target size requires less bitrate, which can reduce visible detail or introduce compression artifacts. Review the completed preview before downloading.

Does the tool change resolution or trim my video?+

This compressor targets file size through encoding. It does not offer a resolution picker or trimming control, and the completed output keeps the source duration when encoding succeeds.

Are my queued videos compressed at the same time?+

The existing batch workflow may process multiple submitted files. Each video is encoded from its own duration and source; it does not reuse another item’s output.

Are uploaded files kept?+

Source and output files are written to a temporary server directory only for processing and are removed after each job finishes or fails.
