Fileverses legal information

Privacy Policy

This page explains the practical privacy boundaries of Fileverses' public file tools. By using the site, you acknowledge this policy.

Information involved in using the service

Fileverses receives the information needed to deliver a page and operate a request. This can include technical information that browsers and servers normally exchange, such as an IP address, browser and device details, request time, and diagnostic information. We do not ask you to create an account to use the public tools.

If you contact Fileverses through a channel made available outside this page, the information you choose to provide in that communication is handled for the purpose of responding to it. Do not send sensitive information unless you are comfortable doing so.

File processing

Files may be processed in your browser or on Fileverses servers.

The processing path depends on the tool. Some tools use browser capabilities; others send an uploaded file to a Fileverses server so it can be converted, traced, compressed, inspected, or otherwise processed. A tool's own page describes relevant processing limits where they apply.

Temporary work

Do not treat the service as permanent storage.

Server-backed tools are designed to use files only for the active request and return a result, with temporary working files cleaned up as part of processing. However, internet and software systems can fail. Keep your own copies, avoid uploading files you cannot safely share for processing, and do not rely on Fileverses as a backup service.

Analytics, cookies, and links

Use the controls available in your browser.

Fileverses may use essential technical storage needed for the site to function. When analytics is enabled, it is used to understand aggregate site use. Browser settings and extensions can limit cookies and similar technologies, though blocking them can affect site behavior. Fileverses should not send uploaded file contents, filenames, or other private file data to analytics.

The site can link to third-party websites or services. Those destinations operate under their own policies and practices; review them before providing information or relying on their content. Fileverses is not responsible for third-party privacy practices.

Security measures can reduce risk, but no internet transmission, file processor, or storage system is completely secure. Use the service only for material you are authorized to handle and keep appropriate local safeguards for your files.

This policy may change as Fileverses changes. The version published on this page applies when you use the service. For the rules governing use of the tools, see the Terms & Conditions.
