Supported files

MOV in. MP4 out.

MOVMP4

Add MOV video files up to 100 MB each. Fileverses creates a new MP4 result with this route’s documented conversion profile; review the completed download before using it elsewhere.

How it works

One queue. A new MP4 file.

01

Add MOV files

Choose one or more .mov videos up to 100 MB each. Every queued source keeps its own playable preview.

02

Convert the queue

Start conversion to encode each source as a new MP4 with H.264 video and AAC audio when the source includes audio.

03

Review and download

Use the completed preview to check every result, then download its separately named MP4 file.

Limits and quality

A new MP4 file, with source-specific trade-offs.

The output is a new MP4 containing H.264 video and AAC audio when the source has audio, rather than a stream copy of the original MOV.

01

MOV input only

This route accepts .mov files up to 100 MB each. The source must be readable by the host FFmpeg installation.

02

New H.264 encoding

The output is a new MP4 containing H.264 video and AAC audio when the source has audio, rather than a stream copy of the original MOV.

03

No editing controls

The route does not trim clips, select audio tracks, preserve every stream, or offer an output-quality control. Inspect the new file before delivery.

MOV to MP4 FAQ

Questions, answered.

What files can I add?+

This converter accepts .mov files up to 100 MB each. A file also needs to be readable by FFmpeg for conversion to succeed.

What will the downloaded file contain?+

Each successful result is an MP4 container with H.264 video. If the source includes audio, the result includes a newly encoded AAC audio track.

Does MOV to MP4 keep the original codec?+

No. This implementation encodes new H.264 video and AAC audio when present, so it does not promise to retain the MOV file’s original codecs, metadata, or every stream.

Can I convert more than one MOV file?+

Yes. Add multiple MOV files to the queue. Jobs run sequentially, and each successful row has its own preview and download control.

Will converting reduce quality or change file size?+

It can. H.264/AAC encoding creates a new compressed file, so detail and file size depend on the source and encoder output. Check the completed MP4 before using it.

Can I trim or resize a MOV here?+

No. This converter makes an MP4 copy and does not provide trimming, resizing, bitrate, or audio-track controls.

Are files kept after conversion?+

Source and output files are written to a temporary server directory for processing and removed after each conversion finishes or fails.
