Upload FLAC sources
Add one or more non-empty .flac files up to 100 MB each. The source must contain audio that host FFmpeg can process.
Server-backed FLAC to WAV conversion
Choose FLAC files up to 100 MB and Fileverses will make separately downloadable, audio-only WAV results from the first audio stream.
Processed by our self-hosted conversion engine
Supported files
Use this converter when a destination asks for WAV. Fileverses decodes the source and writes a new signed 16-bit PCM WAV file rather than repackaging FLAC bytes.
How it works
Add one or more non-empty .flac files up to 100 MB each. The source must contain audio that host FFmpeg can process.
Start the queue to decode the first audio stream and write a new pcm_s16le WAV with the route's fixed server-side profile.
Open a completed WAV in compatible software if required, then download each separately named output file.
WAV output facts
The profile maps only the first audio stream, removes source metadata and chapters, excludes video, and encodes pcm_s16le. Uncompressed WAV output can be much larger than its FLAC source.
Convert FLAC to WAVUse non-empty FLAC files no larger than 100 MB. A file also needs a readable audio stream; a renamed or unreadable upload will fail conversion.
The WAV result is newly encoded as pcm_s16le from the first audio stream. It is not a FLAC stream copy and this route does not expose bit-depth or other PCM settings.
Because this WAV output is uncompressed PCM, it may be substantially larger than the FLAC source. No output-size or destination-compatibility guarantee is made.
The profile excludes video and removes source metadata and chapters. It does not offer trimming, alternate-stream selection, channel, sample-rate, bitrate, or quality controls.
FLAC-to-WAV details
It creates audio-only WAV output with signed 16-bit PCM (pcm_s16le) from the first audio stream in a supported FLAC source.
Usually not a safe expectation. The route writes uncompressed PCM WAV, so the output can be much larger than the compressed FLAC input.
No. The converter makes a new PCM representation of the decoded source. It does not recover missing detail, source history, metadata, or additional tracks.
This route accepts non-empty .flac files of up to 100 MB each, provided host FFmpeg can read an audio stream from the upload.
No. The route maps the first audio stream only, excludes video, and removes source metadata and chapters before writing the WAV.
No. FLAC to WAV uses a fixed signed 16-bit PCM profile. There are no controls for trimming, stream selection, sample rate, channel layout, bitrate, quality, or bit depth.
Yes. Add several eligible FLAC files to the queue. The browser submits files one at a time and conversion runs sequentially, so each successful source receives an individual WAV download.
