Confirm your rights

Start only with a public video you own or have explicit permission to download.

02

Inspect real source options

yt-dlp reads the public listing and returns the title, thumbnail, duration, and available source qualities. If needed, it combines the selected public video source with an available public audio track.

03

Download a verified file

The selected output is created with yt-dlp and FFmpeg, then ffprobe checks that the artifact is readable.

FAQ

Clear boundaries before you download.

Who can use this downloader?

Use it only for a public YouTube video you own or are authorized to download. You must confirm that right before inspection and download.

Which YouTube videos are supported?

The tool checks a public YouTube or youtu.be URL. It does not support private, login-required, live, member-only, DRM-protected, or playlist content.

Why are only some qualities shown?

The picker lists only video source formats yt-dlp reports for that public video. When a listed quality has no embedded audio, yt-dlp merges the currently available public audio track; it does not invent qualities or upscale the source.

Does Fileverses use my YouTube account?

No. This tool does not use login, cookies, account credentials, private links, or member access.

What happens after I choose a format?

Fileverses asks yt-dlp and FFmpeg to create the selected media output, then independently reads the completed file with ffprobe before returning it for download.

Can a format disappear?

Yes. YouTube availability can change between inspection and download. If that happens, inspect the public URL again and choose from the newly reported options.
