Free online ICO to ODD export

Package one decoded ICO image ina minimal ODD drawing ZIP.

Use this free online ICO to ODD export when a recipient asks for a simple drawing-package handoff. It continues only if your current browser decodes the ICO into one rendered image; it does not inspect the ICO container or let you choose an embedded icon entry. The download is a minimal, one-page ODF-style ZIP, so open it in the exact receiving application before relying on it.

About this converter

Free ICO to ODD conversion, built for a real workflow.

ICO is an icon container that can hold more than one embedded representation, while ODD is an OpenDocument Drawing package. Fileverses sends an ICO through the browser image decoder and draws the resulting image to a canvas. That means conversion is conditional on browser decoding, and the browser supplies one rendered image rather than a list of container entries or a choice of icon size. The ODD writer creates a minimal store-only ZIP with a mimetype entry, META-INF/manifest.xml, content.xml, one draw:page, one draw:frame, and one draw:image reference sized to the decoded pixels. Its image entry is named Pictures/image.png and declared image/png, but the current writer stores the original ICO upload bytes there rather than making a new PNG. Treat this as a narrow raster handoff: it is not editable drawing reconstruction, vector or layer preservation, crop or background-removal work, detail recovery, or universal ODF compatibility. Keep the ICO and test the download in the receiving application.

How it works

Upload once.
Export ODD.

01

Add an ICO the browser can decode

Drop, choose, or paste an ICO. If this browser cannot decode it, the conversion cannot proceed. Keep the original ICO because this page cannot select an embedded representation or preserve the container.

02

Keep ODD selected

ODD is selected for this route. Add up to 50 files, keep each at 50 MB or less, and use images that decode to no more than 12 megapixels.

03

Download and check the recipient workflow

Download the minimal one-page drawing ZIP and open it in the exact receiving application. Confirm its image, placement, compatibility, and final size before sharing it.

Made for real pipelines

ICO to ODD.
One workspace.

Convert without uploading your assets. Switch outputs anytime — web, print, icons, and document targets from the same batch.

Package a decoded ICO image as ODD
01

Browser-decoded ICO handoff

Continue only when this browser renders the ICO, with no promise to inspect the icon container or select an embedded representation.

02

Minimal one-page package

Create a store-only ZIP with one ODF drawing page, frame, and image reference—not reconstructed artwork, vectors, layers, or editable drawing objects.

03

Check before delivery

Stay within 50 files, 50 MB per file, and 12 megapixels per decoded image, then verify the package in the exact receiving application.

Good to know

Questions, answered.

Is this ICO to ODD export free and online?+

Yes. This ICO-to-ODD export is free online with no account. Supported image processing happens in your browser, and you download the result yourself.

Will every ICO file convert directly?+

No. Conversion proceeds only when your current browser decodes the ICO into an image. The upload label or .ico extension is not a decoder guarantee; if decoding fails, try opening or exporting the intended image in software that supports that ICO first.

Can I choose an icon size or embedded ICO entry?+

No. An ICO can contain multiple representations, but this page does not inspect the container, list entries, extract a representation, or offer entry selection. It packages the one rendered image supplied by the browser, so keep the ICO if another representation may matter.

What is inside the downloaded ODD file?+

It is a minimal store-only ZIP containing a mimetype entry, META-INF/manifest.xml, content.xml, one drawing page, one frame, and one draw:image reference placed at the decoded ICO pixel dimensions.

Is the embedded ODD image a newly encoded PNG?+

No. The package names the entry Pictures/image.png and declares image/png, but the current writer stores the original ICO upload bytes there rather than producing a canvas-encoded PNG. Compatibility can vary, so test the ODD in the exact receiving application.

Does this make an editable, universally compatible ODD file?+

No. It is a one-image package, not editable drawing reconstruction: it does not rebuild vectors, layers, text, paths, other ICO entries, or lost detail, and it does not crop artwork or remove backgrounds. Queue up to 50 files at 50 MB each with a 12-megapixel decoded-image limit. ZIP and XML overhead mean no output-size guarantee; verify recipient compatibility.
