How it works
Choose one or more non-empty .mkv files up to 100 MB each. Every queue row retains its own playable source preview.
Start the queue to have FFmpeg map the first readable audio stream in each MKV and encode it as a new LAME MP3 at VBR quality setting 2.
Review each completed MP3 in the queue, then download that separately named audio file.
Limits and quality
Every result is a new LAME MP3 at VBR quality setting 2, not copied source audio. Final size and bitrate can vary, and encoding cannot recover detail lost in the source.
Convert MKV nowThis route accepts non-empty .mkv files up to 100 MB each. The host FFmpeg must be able to read the file and find a readable audio stream.

The profile maps only the first audio stream, removes source metadata, and excludes video. It does not preserve alternate audio tracks, video, subtitles, attachments, chapters, original codecs, or metadata, and it has no trimming, stream-selection, sample-rate, channel, bitrate, or quality controls.
MKV to MP3 FAQ
This converter accepts non-empty .mkv files up to 100 MB each. FFmpeg must be able to read the MKV file and find a readable audio stream for conversion to succeed.

No. The LAME VBR profile does not promise a fixed bitrate or file size. A new MP3 encode cannot restore detail lost in an earlier source, and final size depends on the mapped audio and encoder output.

No. This route has no trimming, stream-selection, sample-rate, channel, bitrate, or quality controls. It uses its fixed LAME VBR-quality-2 MP3 profile.
Each source and output exists in a temporary server directory only while its conversion runs. The directory is removed whether the job succeeds or fails.
