Supported files

WEBM in. MP3 out.

WEBMMP3

Add WEBM audio files up to 100 MB each. Fileverses creates a new MP3 result with this route’s documented conversion profile; review the completed download before using it elsewhere.

How it works

One queue. A new MP3 file.

01

Queue WebM files

Choose one or more non-empty .webm files up to 100 MB each. Every queue row retains its own playable source preview.

02

Make new MP3 audio

Start the queue to have FFmpeg map the first readable audio stream in each WebM file and encode it as a new LAME MP3 at VBR quality setting 2.

03

Listen and download

Review each completed MP3 in the queue, then download that separately named audio file.

Limits and quality

A new MP3 file, with source-specific trade-offs.

Every result is a new LAME MP3 at VBR quality setting 2, not copied source audio. Final size and bitrate can vary, and encoding cannot recover detail lost in the source.

01

WebM sources with audio

This route accepts non-empty .webm files up to 100 MB each. The host FFmpeg must be able to read the file and find a readable audio stream.

02

New VBR MP3 encode

Every result is a new LAME MP3 at VBR quality setting 2, not copied source audio. Final size and bitrate can vary, and encoding cannot recover detail lost in the source.

03

First audio stream only

The profile maps only the first audio stream, removes source metadata, and excludes video. It does not preserve alternate audio tracks, video, subtitles, attachments, chapters, original codecs, or metadata, and it has no trimming, stream-selection, sample-rate, channel, bitrate, or quality controls.

WEBM to MP3 FAQ

Questions, answered.

What WebM files can I convert to MP3?+

This converter accepts non-empty .webm files up to 100 MB each. FFmpeg must be able to read the WebM file and find a readable audio stream for conversion to succeed.

What does the downloaded MP3 contain?+

A successful result is a newly encoded MP3 made with LAME VBR quality setting 2. It contains only the first readable audio stream from the WebM source.

Can I convert several WebM files at once?+

Yes. Add multiple supported WebM files to the queue. The browser submits one real server-side conversion at a time, and every successful row receives its own MP3 player and download button.

Will the MP3 have a fixed size or restore original quality?+

No. The LAME VBR profile does not promise a fixed bitrate or file size. A new MP3 encode cannot restore detail lost in an earlier source, and final size depends on the mapped audio and encoder output.

Does this keep video, alternate tracks, or metadata?+

No. The profile maps only the first audio stream, removes source metadata, and excludes video. It does not promise video, alternate-audio-track, subtitle, chapter, attachment, original-codec, or metadata preservation.

Can I choose MP3 settings or trim the audio?+

No. This route has no trimming, stream-selection, sample-rate, channel, bitrate, or quality controls. It uses its fixed LAME VBR-quality-2 MP3 profile.

Are files kept after conversion?+

Each source and output exists in a temporary server directory only while its conversion runs. The directory is removed whether the job succeeds or fails.
